Here in the Pacific Northwest we are blessed (or is it cursed?) with a plethora of wild blackberries. My family and I have had a great time picking blackberries around our neighborhood this summer and baking tasty treats like blackberry cobbler, berry galette, muffins and even making jam. This past weekend my kids requested ice cream so we pulled out our trusty old Cuisinart ice cream maker and got to work.
Summer isn’t over yet, so head to the market for some blackberries (or if you’re like me just open your freezer and they’ll fall right out) and make this super easy, smooth and delicious blackberry ice cream.
And if you have a full freezer like I do, try an ice cream container designed to squeeze into your freezer with ease.
